About Me

Dear Fourth Grade Parents:

I am thrilled to be your child's fourth grade teacher this year at Our Lady of Fatima!

I graduated magna cum laude from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and a concentration in flute, as well as summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science with a School Library Certification. I have Instructional II permanent teaching certification in the state of Pennsylvania in the following three instructional areas: Preschool through Grade 4, Music PreK-12, and Library PreK-12.

Throughout the past eighteen years, I have taught students in grades PreK-12. Seventeen of those years have been spent teaching in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, primarily at the elementary level. This will be my eighth year at Our Lady of Fatima, where I was the music teacher for four years and then began teaching fourth grade. I absolutely love teaching fourth grade! It is a great benefit to be able to incorporate the skills I have gained through my music teaching and brief work as a school librarian on a regular basis while working with the students in the fourth grade classroom. Three summers ago, I earned a Google Certified Educator qualification. It has also been wonderful to directly apply these technological, real-world skills in the classroom. I feel especially blessed to be able to share our Catholic faith daily with the students.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends, cooking, reading, and shopping. I also maintain an active online private flute studio of elementary, middle, and high school flute students from local schools.

I am looking forward to a great year ahead in fourth grade!
